Our goal is to provide strong extracurricular opportunities and encourage our students to participate in programs that develop talent and life-skills while catering to their individual needs and interests.
Band & Choir
R.J. Baskett students have the opportunity to participate in the band and choir programs. Our music faculty is proud to prepare these budding musicians for participation in our award-winning high school music programs. For more information, contact our music instructors.
National Junior Honor Society (NJHS)
Being a member of The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is “more than just an honor roll.” Our students are selected for membership based on scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship.
We are a student-led, service-oriented group who strives to serve the needs of our student body and community. We consider students for eligibility in NJHS beginning in the second semester of the sixth grade or in grades 7-8. For questions regarding NJHS, please contact our faculty advisor.
Our students compete annually in the Indiana Science Olympiad. Science Olympiad is one of the “premiere science competitions in the nation, providing rigorous, standards-based challenges to nearly 6,000 teams in 49 states.” For questions about participating on the Science Olympiad team, please contact our faculty advisors.
Students who participate in the Academy program enjoy an intellectually challenging activity with equally motivated students. Contact our faculty advisor for more information.
CPASS provides students with access to a wide variety of opportunities. Please contact our faculty advisor for more information.
